We are seeking an experienced 179D Engineer to join our team. This position will provide professional engineering services related to energy efficiency, tax credits, and incentives, including 45L, and have an understanding of relevant tax law research. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in energy efficiency analyses, energy modeling, and HERS certification and rating.
Position Overview: The 179D Engineer will provide design services related to energy efficiency and will ensure that all design and construction meet the applicable codes and regulations. The engineer will be responsible for analyzing existing and proposed HVAC and lighting systems in order to identify potential energy savings opportunities. Additionally, the engineer will review and interpret energy modeling results and provide design recommendations. This position will also be responsible for calculating the applicable energy tax credits and incentives.
