Position Overview: The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining mechanical designs for equipment and systems used in the Oil & Gas industry. They will use SolidWorks to create 3D designs and ensure that all components and instrumentation are properly designed according to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop 3D models and detailed drawings of components and equipment using SolidWorks
• Generate complex instrumentation schematics for various Oil & Gas applications
• Perform detailed calculations to compute and determine design requirements, material stresses, and other design parameters
• Analyze customer specifications, vendor drawings, and other related documents to understand the design intent
• Modify existing designs to meet customer and regulatory requirements
• Perform mechanical design reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards
• Collaborate with other engineers and departments to solve design problems and develop new solutions
• Assist with the testing of prototype designs and ensure that all specifications are met
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and customers
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and instrumentation design
• Proficient in SolidWorks and CAD software
• Excellent understanding of mechanical engineering principles and industry standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry applications is a plus
