Position Overview:
The Application Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and implementation of applications in various industries, including HVAC, manufacturing, and sheet metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD and FEA, with knowledge of air flow dynamics and structural analysis. The ability to work closely with engineers, product designers, and production teams is essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and models for new applications
- Conduct FEA to assess the structural integrity of designs and make necessary modifications
- Analyze air flow dynamics and make recommendations for optimal performance
- Collaborate with engineers and product designers to ensure designs meet production and customer requirements
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for application issues
- Participate in product development meetings and provide input on new application ideas
- Conduct research on new technologies and methods to improve application design and performance
- Assist with the fabrication and testing of prototype applications
- Work closely with production teams to ensure quality and efficiency in the manufacturing process
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience as an Application Engineer or in a similar role
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Experience with FEA software, such as ANSYS or COMSOL
- Knowledge of air flow dynamics and HVAC systems
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Nice to have: experience with structural analysis, product development, and sheet metal fabrication techniques
