The Construction Project Manager - Federal Projects is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects for federal agencies & military bases. This role requires a strong knowledge of federal regulations and standards, as well as experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational and leadership skills, as well as a strong understanding of construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage construction projects for federal agencies, ensuring compliance with all federal regulations and standards
- Oversee multiple crews and subcontractors, ensuring efficient and timely completion of project tasks
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and project plans
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders regularly to provide project updates and address any issues or concerns
- Review and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality control
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA 30, CPR, EM 385, and other relevant standards
- Collaborate with project team members, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to resolve any project challenges or issues
- Prepare and submit progress reports, change orders, and other project documentation as required
- Manage all project documentation, including contracts, permits, and records of communication and decisions made throughout the project
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on federal projects- Strong knowledge of federal regulations and standards, including USACE, CQCM, and Military standards
- Experience working on federal projects at military bases, such as JBLE and Langley, is preferred
- Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors on large-scale construction projects
- Proven ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
- OSHA 30, CPR, and EM 385 certifications are required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members
- Proficiency in project management software, as well as Microsoft Office and other relevant programs.
