We are a fast-growing full-service Automation and Integration provider, looking for two candidate to fill our Automation Engineering positions. We are mainly providing PLC/PC based Automation and custom robot and motion solutions across the Midwest. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical design, programming, implementation, and support services for a wide variety of industrial automated control systems. The Controls Engineer will be expected to work closely with other engineering and automation staff to ensure the successful deployment of automated control systems.
Position Overview:
The Controls Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of industrial control system design, programming, and implementation. This includes developing a variety of automation solutions and systems to meet project specifications, as well as providing technical support to ensure the successful operation of automation systems. The Controls Engineer must be able to work collaboratively with other disciplines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, program, and implement industrial automated control systems for various applications.
Troubleshoot and debug existing automation systems, as well as develop PLC and HMI programming for new systems.
Develop detailed system documentation to ensure successful operation of automated control systems.
Monitor and analyze system performance and identify potential areas of improvement.
Assist with the development of project specifications and requirements to ensure successful project delivery.
Communicate effectively with other engineering disciplines and automation staff to ensure proper system implementation.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in automation engineering.
Proficiency in PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems, including Siemens Step 7, TIA, RS Logix 500, Factory Talk, Ignition, Omron, Mitsubishi, AVEVA, Pendant, and 2D Design.
Experience in robot programming, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SQL, ODBC, control system design, VFD, servo, and motor control design.
Knowledge of automated process design and wireless automation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex systems to identify and resolve issues.
