Electronics Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PCB design, electronics engineering, and electrical components.
We are a VR/hardware studio that provides VR flight simulations to the Air Force for training purposes. Our Livermore location is where our hardware team is, which is expanding to broaden our development and design on new products/simulators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electronics circuit boards
- Troubleshoot circuit boards and electronic systems
- Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for circuit boards
- Design and develop firmware for embedded systems
- Develop and test software for embedded systems
- Work with DFM/DFA to ensure designs meet customer requirements
- Identify and analyze electrical components for circuit boards
- Utilize Altium Designer, KiCAD and PlatformIO for design and development
- Develop and test power and thermodynamics calculations
- Develop and test flight control functions
- Develop and test C++ and Arduino code
- Utilize GIT for version control
- Monitor circuit boards and electronic systems for performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in design and development of electronics circuit boards
- Extensive knowledge of PCB design, electronics engineering, and electrical components
- Experience with software, firmware, 3D CAD modeling, and 2D drawings
- Proficiency in DFM/DFA, Arduino, C/C++, GIT, electrical circuit, Altium Designer, KiCAD, PlatformIO, aviation principles, power and thermodynamics calculations, flight control functions, and C++.
