Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential renovation and a thorough understanding of health and safety inspection, mechanical inspection, structural inspection, and aesthetic inspection. The Estimator will be responsible for creating accurate scope of work and budget estimates, managing construction projects, ensuring product consistency and quality control, and maintaining knowledge of building codes and construction principles. This is a crucial role within our company and requires a candidate who is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong understanding of construction and design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform residential renovation estimates by conducting thorough inspections and assessments of potential projects.
- Create detailed scope of work and budget estimates that adhere to company standards and client needs.-
Manage construction projects from start to finish, including coordinating with contractors, obtaining necessary permits, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure products and materials meet company standards.-
Stay updated on building codes, construction principles, and industry trends to ensure estimates are accurate and informed.
- Utilize construction math skills to accurately calculate material and labor costs.
- Collaborate with design team to create cohesive and aesthetically pleasing projects.
- Communicate with clients to address any concerns or questions regarding estimates and project progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on custom builds.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety inspection, mechanical inspection, structural inspection, and aesthetic inspection.
- Proficient in creating scope of work and budget estimates.
- Experience with construction management and project coordination.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in using construction software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of building codes, construction principles, and construction math.
