Position Overview:
The Estimator for WWTP will be responsible for the estimating of projects, coordinating with the project team for accurate and timely completion of project estimates, and creating proposals and bid documents with accuracy, precision, and detail. The Estimator must have a proven track record of successful estimating of civil engineering projects such as wastewater treatment plants, public works, and sewer systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate estimates for civil engineering projects, such as wastewater treatment plants, public works, and sewer systems.
Develop tooling lists and pricing for materials and equipment.
Utilize HCSS software to track and manage project estimates.
Participate in bid openings and pre-bid meetings.
Prepare bids, contracts and other documentation as required.
Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings.
Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate estimates.
Analyze and interpret complex documents.
Maintain up-to-date records of project estimates.
Develop and implement processes for cost tracking and control.
Monitor project progress and update estimates accordingly.
Provide project management support as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
5+ years experience in estimating civil engineering projects such as wastewater treatment plants, public works, and sewer systems.
Knowledge of HCSS software and estimating tools.
Ability to read and interpret complex documents.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
