Based in Columbus, we're a full service fire protection contractor with a long history of success and currently we are looking for a Fire Alarm Designer to join our team.
What You Will Be Doing
Design fire protection alarm systems (detail drawings, as-builts, sketches and diagrams)
Design according to code compliance to NFPA/local regulations/industry standards
Generate floor plans, one-line diagrams, etc
Select appropriate fire alarm system components and ensure compatibility and functionality
Perform and produce voltage drop and battery calculations
Collaborate across all project phases (concept design, presentation, schematic design, design development, construction documents)
Help review RFI's and submittals
What You Need for this Position
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of Fire Alarm Design experience
Strong CAD Designing experience with AutoCAD/Revit other design software
Experience with field surveying
Knowledge of relevant NFPA Codes
Strong mathematical skills
Project management experience
Active NICET Certification is a PLUS
