Human Resources Manager --with a successful Environmental firm! (no environmental background required)
Location: Philadelphia, PA
We are a well-established environmental consulting firm providing customized Environmental Health and Safety Services among other services to our clients. We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of human resources functions within the organization. This includes recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, along with a deep understanding of HR best practices.
We seek candidates with diverse professional backgrounds, particularly those with experience in larger firms or those with larger staff structures. The position will primarily be office-based, with the option for one remote workday per week.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Reviewing timesheets and expenses
- Reviewing vacation/sick leave requests (ensuring corporate compliance before final approval by the Corporate Administrator)
- Managing IT/equipment inventory (tracking incoming and outgoing materials)
- Overseeing corporate licensing
- Updating and managing the Corporate Handbook and Policies
- Maintaining personnel files
- Facilitating employee onboarding/offboarding processes
- Supporting payroll processing
- Managing job postings and soliciting potential candidates for hiring
What You Need for this Position
- Prior experience in HR management roles (experience in larger firms or those with larger staff structures)
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- B.S. in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus but not required.
