Company Overview: We are a marketing, manufacturing and distribution company specialized in the chemical and food production industries. Our finance team is growing and looking to add a Payroll/AP Specialist to the mixture.
Position Overview: The Payroll and AP Specialist maintains the integrity of payroll and accounts payable processes by ensuring that all applications are accurately and timely implemented and that all policies and procedures are consistently followed. This individual will also handle payroll inquiries from both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review and process payroll transactions, including employee pay, taxes, benefits, deductions, and other deductions.
Process and manage accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain records of payroll and accounts payable transactions.
Respond to payroll inquiries from both internal and external customers.
Provide assistance and support to other departments as needed.
Monitor payroll and accounts payable data to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field, Associates degree works too.
Extensive knowledge of payroll and accounts payable processes and procedures.
Proficient with Accounting software and spreadsheets.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Nice to have: ADP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, WorkforceNow, Celergo.
