We are a leading manufacturer of surface mount technology (SMT) equipment looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team and help us develop capital equipment solutions for our customers with pick and place machines, printers, reel storage, and more! You will be responsible for working with customers to identify and develop customized solutions for their needs, managing current and future accounts, and managing salespeople in the Western. U.S.
As a Western States Sales Manager, you will have a good blend of active involvement in actually selling the product as well as managing sales people (independent reps and manufacturers reps). You will have existing accounts to take over so that you are not starting from scratch, but you will also be running the full sales cycle on new accounts in your territory.
- Managing existing accounts in the western U.S.
- Prospecting new business development, getting a foot in the door
- Running the full sales cycle
- Demonstrating the capabilities of our products
- Identifying the right solutions for each customer
- Working with applications and field engineers to ensure that the solutions meet the customer's requirements
- Attending trade shows, industry events
This position is remote with travel. Candidates must be based in the Western U.S. to be able to travel to customer accounts as needed
Must have:
- 5+ years SMT industry sales experience (or related field)
- Willing/able to travel (50-75%)
Nice to have:
- Experience selling Capital Equipment solutions
- Surface Mount Technology, Pick & Place, PCB, AOI, X-Ray
- Sales in Aerospace and/or Defense Markets
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
