Senior Buyer

Position Overview
The Senior Buyer is responsible for managing all aspects of procurement, ensuring that materials and supplies are acquired at the best possible cost, quality, and delivery timelines in alignment with the company's strategic goals. This role involves collaborating with various departments to optimize inventory levels and enhance supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement processes for materials and supplies to meet production demands.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements and optimize inventory levels.
Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to track purchasing activities and inventory levels.
Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve procurement efficiency.
Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality and delivery standards.
Participate in the development and implementation of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
Strong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform purchasing decisions.
Familiarity with supplier management and quality control processes.
