We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Manager to join our team. The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day tax activities of the firm, including tax planning and preparation, oversee the preparation of all tax returns, and assist with client relations. This position requires strong technical skills in tax law, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and coordinate all individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns
- Prepare tax planning strategies and analysis of opportunities to minimize taxes
- Review all tax returns for accuracy and completeness
- Establish and maintain effective client relationships
- Develop and monitor tax accounting processes and procedures
- Communicate with clients, internal staff, and other necessary parties regarding tax matters
- Research and analyze various tax issues
- Monitor and respond to changes in tax laws and regulations
- Assist in the preparation of client letters and other documents
- Monitor the overall workflow of all tax projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of tax experience in a public accounting firm
- CPA Eligible
- ProSystems PFX and CCH Software experience
- Knowledge of 1040, 1041, partnerships, and S-Corps
- Strong knowledge of tax law, regulations, and preparation
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
