We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and take charge of designing and developing Mechanical electromechanical products for the defense and aerospace industries alongside our Chemical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Manufacturing engineers onsite. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation of prototypes, final products, working as part of a team, and acting as a senior team member, leading the mechanical design process and ensuring that all products meet the necessary quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for electromechanical products.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) for electromechanical assemblies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product design meets customer requirements.
• Implement and maintain design standards, including GD&T and MIL-STD specifications.
• Lead design reviews and ensure that products meet all necessary regulatory requirements, including ITAR and ISO standards.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and customers as required.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• EXPERIENCE - Minimum of Five or more, years' experience in mechanical design, with a focus on electromechanical products.
• Expertise in SolidWorks and other mechanical design software.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical parts and assemblies, including mechanical  and electromechanical housing/assembly design, analysis, DFM and prototype development through final product approval and manufacturing.
• Experience working within, and according to ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards, along with a commitment to quality control.
• Knowledge of DOD/Defense and Aerospace industry regulations and standards, including Mil-Std requirements in design process.
• Ability to work in an ITAR environment, and while not necessary immediately, ideally an ability to obtain and maintain security clearance as required.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and an ability to work well with different teams, including Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, etc.  STRONG Collaborative, Presentation, Documentation and organizational skills will be needed.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
