Position Overview:
The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of civil construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This individual will also be responsible for managing a team of project managers and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules for civil construction projects
- Provide leadership and guidance to project managers and team members
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with specifications and safety regulations
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines and budgets
- Review and approve project deliverables, including design plans and construction material
- Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders
- Oversee project closeout and ensure all necessary documentation is completed and submitted
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, preferably in civil construction
- Extensive knowledge of civil construction techniques, processes, and materials
- Proficient in project management software and tools
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in federal or non-federal construction projects is a plus
- Knowledge of remediation and design processes is an asset.
