Position Overview:
The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of construction projects within the healthcare, commercial, and retail sectors. They will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction, as well as experience with project management software, such as Procore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate all phases of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and ensure that all work is completed according to specifications and within established deadlines.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of projects.- Conduct regular site visits to inspect work and address any issues or concerns.
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.
- Manage project budget and expenses, ensuring that all costs are tracked and within budget.
- Hire and train construction workers and subcontractors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices on construction sites.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reports using project management software, such as Procore.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on healthcare and retail projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, procedures, and best practices.- Experience with project management software, such as Procore.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.- Willingness to work on-site and travel if necessary.
