Position Overview:
The Superintendent will oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects, including commercial and industrial construction, for our company. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and experience in the construction industry, with a focus on education-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and supervise all construction activities on project sites, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
2. Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects.
3. Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
4. Communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers, to provide updates on project status and address any issues that may arise.
5. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and job site photos.
6. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project plans and specifications.
7. Manage project budgets and expenses, working closely with the project manager to track costs and make necessary adjustments.
8. Lead and mentor project team members, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial and industrial construction.
2. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
3. Experience managing education-related construction projects is preferred.
4. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
7. Proficiency in project management software.
8. Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
9. OSHA certification and knowledge of safety regulations.
