Tax Senior

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled Tax Senior to join the team in Torrance. As a Tax Senior, your primary responsibilities will consist of tax consulting and tax return preparation duties, including tax research, tax planning, and the preparation of supporting work papers for various tax returns and tax related projects. You will work with a variety of entities such as corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and non-profits. In addition, you will be exposed to a variety of industries including real estate, consumer industrial products, service-based companies, and not-for-profits.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, trusts, C-Corps, S-Corps, and high-net-worth individuals.
Research and analyze federal, state, and local tax laws to ensure compliance with regulations.
Provide tax planning services to clients, including strategic tax planning and identifying tax-saving opportunities.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary tax information and answer tax-related questions.
Supervise and train junior staff members on tax preparation and planning techniques.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
3+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax preparation and planning
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws
CPA licensed or in track
Ability to work in office in Torrance
