Buyer
Position Overview
The Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials while maintaining quality standards. This role will focus on sourcing and purchasing goods for our manufacturing operations, particularly in the plastics sector, and will work closely with inventory management to optimize stock levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs and inventory levels.
- Manage purchase orders (PO) from initiation to completion, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Conduct market research to identify sourcing opportunities and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
- Collaborate with planning and production teams to forecast demand and align purchasing schedules accordingly.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality or delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar purchasing role, preferably in the CPG or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier sourcing.
- Familiarity with purchasing software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
