Responsibilities of Position:
Leads the development and maintenance of plant financial data in compliance with our policies and procedures and in compliance with GAAP practices. Responsible for development and maintenance of plant-related fiduciary controls.
Provides leadership and supervision for a diverse support group by;
- Furnishing clear, explicit jobs descriptions and regularly updated performance objectives
- Defining tasks, establishing priorities, and assigning responsibilities.
- Communicating and administering relevant company policies and procedures.
Directs plant accounting functions including financial inventory of raw material, accounting work-in-process (WIP), and finished product; accounts payable; capital plant payroll; freight payments; and petty cash.
Leads preparation of annual and monthly plant and departmental budgets to develop standards costs for all plant products. Provide insightful cost analyses.
Provides production with cost analysis. Initiates investigations of areas of potential cost reduction and prepare appropriate studies and recommendation for Plant Manager. Drives business performance through final initiatives at the Plant.
Analyzes proposals for capital outlays to determine reasonableness of any benefits claimed and economics of alternative choices. All projects, whether treated for accounting purposes, as capital investments or expenses must be included in above.
Prepares data for and cooperates with raw materials Finance Teams in monthly closing, reporting and financial analysis as requested.
Works closely with Board of Directors & BLT leadership and its other plants inside and outside of US (Japan primarily).
Provides support and leadership for systems that assure inventory accuracy.
This person needs to drive business performance through financial driven initiatives at our local facility.
Continues driving performance as company will be experiencing tremendous growth over the next 6 months-4 years.

Develop production analysis reports and tools to assist decision-makers.

Improve inventory accounting and controls
Partner with Training Staff to develop Cash Flow and Financial Skills training for all salaried staff

BS in Accounting; CPA preferred; MBA preferred
Experiences in plant cost systems, production and inventory control, budgeting and forecasting required.
8-10 years work experience in accounting; manufacturing experience required, demonstrated managerial & leadership skills.
