Job Title: Civil CAD Technician - Structural & Bridge
Location: near Indianapolis
Salary: $80,000 - 100,000+.
Requirements: Minimum 2+ years experience in bridge cad drafting. An Associates Degree in Design Technology/CAD and previous INDOT bridge project experience preferred. Proficiency in Microstation InRoads, OpenRoads, Excel, and Word. AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus, but not required

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil CAD Technician specializing in structural and bridge design. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers to create precise technical drawings and models for a variety of civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to construction standards and engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed technical drawings and plans for structural and bridge projects using CAD software.
Collaborate with engineers to develop design concepts and 3D models.
Ensure compliance with construction standards and engineering principles in all drawings and designs.
Review and revise designs based on feedback from project managers and engineers.
Assist in the preparation of project documentation and specifications.
Conduct quality assurance checks on designs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Maintain organized records of all design files and project documentation.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent experience in civil engineering technology or related field.
Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and Revit.
Strong understanding of structural design and bridge design principles.
Experience with technical drawing and 3D modeling techniques.
Knowledge of construction standards and engineering principles.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
