What You Will Be Doing:
The Commercial Property Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a portfolio of commercial properties. This role involves managing tenant relations, ensuring properties are well-maintained, and maximizing the financial performance of the assets.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple commercial properties, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards and in compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring tenant satisfaction
- Coordinate lease renewals, rent collections, and lease enforcement
- Manage property budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial reports
- Ensure that all rent payments are collected on time and any delinquencies are promptly addressed
- Hire, supervise, and manage vendors for maintenance, repairs, and service contracts
- Ensure that all work is completed efficiently and within budget
- Review and enforce lease terms, ensuring all obligations are met by both tenants and property owners
- Prepare and manage lease documentation, including renewals, amendments, and terminations
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess building condition, identify maintenance issues, and ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Collaborate with leasing teams to market available spaces, negotiate lease terms, and attract high-quality tenants to the property
- Maintain accurate records of property activities, financial transactions, and communication with tenants and vendors
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for property owners or senior management
What You Need for this Position:
- 5+ years of commercial property management experience
- Must have a strong understanding of real estate management principles, including budgeting, leasing, and maintenance
- Must be proficient in property management software, Yardi highly desired, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous experience with a large, multi-site commercial property portfolio highly desired
