Job Title: Director of Quality 

Location: Hammond, IN

Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000 Base Salary + Annual Bonus + 401k Matching, PTO, Profit Sharing and excellent Comprehensive Health Benefits!

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and visionary Director of Quality to lead and coordinate our company's quality activities. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in upholding and enhancing our quality standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and enforce quality standards to ensure high-quality products and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including production, engineering, and sales-to establish product and reliability standards.
• Devise and oversee testing methods and procedures for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints through root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Provide training and support to staff to promote best practices and compliance with quality standards.
• Lead the certification process and maintain relevant organizational certifications.
• Monitor, analyze, and report quality KPIs, recommending improvements where needed.
• Manage and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals, promoting accountability and development.
• Prepare and manage the quality assurance budget to achieve financial objectives.
• Foster collaboration for new product development, engineering design, and manufacturing methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree in quality management, engineering, MBA, or a related field is preferred.
• Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent certifications.
• At least 8 years of experience in quality management, with strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 systems.
• Proven expertise in managing and conducting internal and external audits.
• Experience in lead-battery manufacturing is a plus, but not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, project management, and analytics software.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, along with strong communication abilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will supervise approximately three direct reports and 9 indirect reports.
