Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of accurate cost estimates for drywall projects, ensuring that all aspects of the projects are accounted for and aligned with client expectations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth within the construction estimating field.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for commercial drywall projects.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs from blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Support bid preparation efforts by compiling relevant project information and documentation.
• Perform cost analysis and assist in budget development for various construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project scopes and timelines.
• Participate in contract administration and negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project documentation in line with company policies.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in construction estimating or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and drywall installation techniques.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and construction drawings.
• Experience with cost analysis and budget management in a construction setting.
• Familiarity with bid preparation and quantity takeoff methodologies.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams.
