Title: Metal Fabrication Manager - Custom Modular Exhibits (Tradeshows)
Location: Woodridge, IL 60517 (Southwest Chicago)
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 + $5K Bonus + Relocation

Founded in 2001 we are a 350 employee designer, producer & wholesaler of wide format digital print products for a variety of retailers across the US. We are a visual communications company with the largest selection of solutions for trade shows, exhibits, retail environments, business meetings etc in the marketspace today. We have acquired a few new businesses since covid and are private equity owned with very strong financial backing as we continue to gain market share in the space. For our facility in Woodridge we are targeting to hire a Metal Fabrication Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the metal fabrication shop overseeing a group of 12 in the department.

What You Will Be Doing

Ensure products meet customer specs & quality expectations and shop stays w/i budget
Manage staff including welders, fabricators & shop supervisors
Ensure safety procedures & that employees are properly trained to operate equipment
Manage inventory of aluminum tubes, extrusions & parts
Interpret specs, blueprints, job orders & company procedures
Manage preventative maintenance for equipment
Participate in interviewing, hiring & training new employees
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement & stay up to date on technology

What You Need for this Position

5+ years of supervisory experience ideally in a metal fabrication shop / manufacturing
Experience managing TIG welders or actual TIG welding experience
Ability to manage a team of 12
Experience in metal fabrication, operation of CNC & manual machines
Knowledge of CAD/CAM programming is ideal
Experience on tube bending is a plus
Tradeshow industry experience is ideal
Strong math, verbal & written communication skills
