We are an Established CPA Leader in the NYC area for over 30+ years. We consider ourselves to be mid-sized with about ~50 employees and growing! The clients we work with include small to mid-sized businesses across a variety of industries with a specialized focus in 990/ NFP. Position Overview
The Not for Profit Audit Manager will oversee audit projects for various non-profit organizations, ensuring compliance with applicable financial reporting standards and regulations. This role focuses on delivering high-quality audit services while providing valuable insights to our clients, enhancing their financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage audit engagements for non-profit organizations
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations for non-profit entities
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored audit services
Supervise and mentor junior audit staff
Develop audit plans and risk assessments
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Stay updated on industry trends and regulations affecting nonprofits

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
CPA certification is required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on audits
Strong knowledge of financial statement audit and compliance regulations
Experience working with non-profit organizations and government contracting
Proficiency in CCH Engagement and accounting software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work remotely and maintain flexibility
Authorization to work in the US
