Job Title: Estimator / Senior Estimator
Location: Charlotte, NC
Salary: $120,000-140,000k+ DOE
We are a Commercial GC that has been around for over 100 years and have established ourselves as a leader in the North Carolina market. With 5 locations throughout North Carolina, we have recently expanded to Charlotte and are looking to make an impact immediately.

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for managing multiple complex assignments each month.
- Understand and execute multiple delivery methods (hard bid, negotiating, and design-build)
- Read project plans, perform project takeoffs, and interpret project specifications
- Deploy project strategies throughout the preconstruction/estimating process
- Ensure that the best bids are obtained for each trade, based on the needs of the projects
- Prepares multiple budgets for owners/clients at different design intervals
- Communicate effectively with the operations team to produce deliverables
- Interact with clients, designers, engineers, subcontractors/suppliers, and other project team members to build effective relationships
- Attend and perform project site visits and pre-bid meetings
- Develop and maintain relationships with trade contractors and suppliers
- Perform other tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience working for a General Contracting company is a HUGE plus
- 3+ years Estimating/Bidding/Preconstruction experience
- Proficient using an Estimating Software (Smartbid, Plan Swift, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Must be well organized with an emphasis on time management
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once
- Willingness to work in a collaborative and cooperative team environment.
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
