Civil Litigation & Municipal Law Attorney - Irvine, CA

A well-established law firm in Irvine is seeking an experienced attorney (5-15 years) specializing in civil litigation and municipal law. Candidates must hold a valid CA Bar license and be capable of managing cases while supervising attorneys.

About the Role:

This position focuses on representing cities and counties in cases involving code enforcement, housing standards, receiverships, nuisance abatement, and land use & zoning law. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about local government and public safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle civil litigation matters in State and Federal Courts.
Conduct legal research, draft motions, and manage discovery.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
Oversee case progress and meet critical deadlines.
Stay current on legal developments and contribute to strategic planning.
Represent clients in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.

Qualifications:

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active California Bar membership with a clean disciplinary record.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently while leading a team.
Experience with Bill4Time or similar billing software is a plus.
